Magnolia grandiflora is for many the glory of the genus; tall trees mantled with those startling blooms, shrouded in the fragrance of elusive beauty. Although the flowers fade so fast, to have and to hold their perfume is a gift. The abstract wish to translate a rare flower into an original parfum initiated a journey through seasons and to remote gardens. Finally, it led to the ateliers of the worlds most original parfum designers.
